Bhagwad Gita
Lord Krishna to Arjuna, the leading warrior, at the start of the war, “The world you experience through the five senses isn’t the reality you experience. It’s an illusion. However, it is the illusion that is convincing. The essence of you truly is your spirit. It’s absolute awareness.”
Upanishads
One of the central teachings of the Upanishads is that there is a Self (Divine) within us that is eternal and unchanging. This Self is our true nature, and it is awareness of this Self that allows us to find peace and happiness.
When Krishna was born in a prison where his father Vasudeva and his wife Devaki were held by his maternal uncle, who had threatened to kill the child as soon as it was born, it was a rainy night. Vasudeva was afraid as to how he was going to save the child. The lord appeared in a vision and told him to take the child in a basket, cross the river Jamuna, and leave the child with Yasoda and her husband Nandagopal in Gokulam(the modern city of Mathura) and bring back the girl child there. Vasudeva followed those instructions in the rain and brought the girl child back. In the morning, when Uncle Kamsa went to kill the girl child, she flew away because she was an angel sent by God. Krishna grew up in Gokulam with Yasoda and Nandagopal. Kamsa, who became aware of the whereabouts of Krishna, kept sending demons one after the other, and Baby Krishna finished them one by one until the age of 12, when he decided to go and kill Kamsa and reclaim the Kingdom.

When God instructed Moses to lead the Israelites from Egypt, Moses was nervous and asked the Lord how he could do that and how the Jews would listen to him. The Lord told them, “I am what I am, and had sent Moses to lead the Jews.” Moses did likewise. Moses faced much more resistance from King Pharoah than the Jewish people and had to perform several miracles, like turning the Red Sea red and turning his staff ( Stick) into a snake before convincing the King to let the Jews go. Then, the king changed his mind and sent his army after the Jews. Moses and his people were caught between the Red Sea and Pharoah’s army. Moses then prayed, and God split the sea into two parts so that Moses could lead them to safety. But then Moses had other challenges during their wanderings in the desert. First, they were starving, and when Moses prayed, Manna fell from the sky to feed them. When they had no water to drink, God led Moses to strike a rock with his staff, and water began to flow. This is what we do in spiritual Thinking. We appeal and seek help from God, the Divine Mind inside each of us, and workable ideas sent by God to solve our immediate problems. Our self-confidence and self-esteem get lifted each time.

Moses Story:
David and Goliath
https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-stories/david-and-goliath.html
The Biblical account of David and Goliath is one of the most popular stories from the Scriptures. It teaches courage, faith, and overcoming what seems impossible. David was the youngest of Jesse’s twelve sons. One day, the nation of Israel was called to fight the Philistine army that had gathered for war. While David’s brothers went to fight, young David stayed back. The two armies gathered to stand on opposite sides of a deep valley. A great Philistine giant named Goliath, who stood at over nine feet tall, came to the front of the Philistine battle line each day for forty days and mocked the Israelites and their God. Goliath called them to fight, but King Saul and the Israelites were scared and did nothing.
David was sent by his dad Jesse to visit the front lines and bring back battle news from his brothers. David heard Goliath mocking Israel and their God. David was brave and volunteered to fight Goliath. He persuaded King Saul to let him fight and decided not to wear any of his armor. David carried his sling and gathered five smooth stones. Goliath laughed at David, but David responded that even though Goliath had a sword and spear, he came in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel. David put a rock in his sling and swung one of the rocks at Goliath’s head. The rock sank into the giant’s forehead, and he fell. David then picked up Goliath’s sword and used it to kill Goliath and cut off his head.
The most notable battle in the Old Testament:
History is filled with ordinary people rising to extraordinary levels when inspired. In Spiritual Thinking, we first acknowledge that God, the Divine Mind, is all in all. Then, we push aside all the material distractions we are surrounded with through affirmations and prayer. As we do that, we focus on synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside each of us 24/7. With this synchronization, we can listen to God’s thoughts on the problem. If we follow and implement those thoughts, we automatically demonstrate courage and self-confidence that was not expected of us usually. This is discussed in my post on Affirmations and prayer for Divine Mind Synchronization:
Through constant practice, this synchronization becomes second nature and chronic, and we can show extraordinary divine self-confidence in ourselves. Thus, Spiritual Thinking is the ultimate way for self-confidence.
