Spiritual Thinking is the ultimate House on a Rock.
Jesus named one of his disciples,’ Peter’. In Greek, petra means rock, and Peter is always very stable, like a rock. Jesus often said, “If we build a house on a rock and the winds strike, the house will be very stable and not wither away like a house built with straws. Spiritual Thinking, by synchronization of our human thoughts with the ever-present Divine Mind inside each of us, likewise provides a strong foundation for our thinking and always assures us of Happiness, Peace, and Prosperity by submitting ourselves to God’s control all the time. That is the reason Spiritual Thinking is the ultimate house on a rock.
Spiritual Thinking is the ultimate way to a Strong Foundation.
Matthew 7:24-27
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Luke 6:47-49
“Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it because it had been well-built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, it immediately fell, and that house’s ruin was great.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Psalm 119:160
“All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”
Matthew 4:4
“But he answered, ‘It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Isaiah 40:8
“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.”
Hebrews 11:6
“And without faith, it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
When we want to construct a house, we all know that a strong foundation is essential to stand the test of time. It will be stable during storms, floods, hurricane winds, etc, and if it is built on a rock, it will be stronger. When Noah’s Arc was built, he wanted to ensure that while the rest of the world was washed, his ark protected everyone seeking refuge. While it is becoming fashionable to run election campaigns on falsehoods and debunked fake news with the aid of immoral social media and lies, we know that such tactics only last for some time until people realize that they are being duped. Most of these campaigns are led by people with a very high human ego but low self-esteem. Since the human ego and the Divine Mind inside us are in eternal conflict, these glass houses shatter very soon.
Spiritual Thinking, however. It is the synchronization of our human thoughts with the Divine Mind, God, and Brahman inside us, and this enables us to listen to God’s voice, which is always sound, strong, and principled with the elimination of our human ego. This is like Jesus said, ‘ o house built on a rock.’ By constant Practice of Spiritual Thinking through meditation and prayers, our ideas and works excel, and our progress is always in harmony with nature and natural laws. We do not end with calamities such as the recent pandemic, el-ninos, global warming, extreme weather patterns, and, above all, unstable democracies. Due to a lack of vision and character, history is filled with examples of such leaders and untold human suffering. Spiritual Thinking is a simple and ultimate way to overcome such shortcomings of individual leaders. In the US currency, we say ‘In God We Trust’ while we do the opposite most often.
Spiritual Thinking is an excellent way to Bounce Back.
Psalm 73:26 (
“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.”
Psalm 37: 23-24
The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall,
For the Lord holds them by the hand.
John 1:16
For from his fullness, we have all received grace upon grace.
Romans 8:28
We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose for them.
Proverbs 24:16
for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
But the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Each time, he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me. I enjoy my shortcomings and the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Lord Krishna in Baghwad Gita:
1. One should be brave to accept failure.
2. Lord Krishna taught us to become detached from the fruits of our actions. A detached person won’t feel sad about failure or happy about success.
3. Lord Krishna doesn’t want us to be weak and cry due to failure.
The whole Bhaghwad Gita, consisting of 18 chapters of poems, when the chief warrior, Arjuna’s Son, was killed during the Mahabharatha War, and Arjuna did not want to fight anymore and kill all his relatives on the other side. Throughout the 18 chapters, Lord Krishna advises Arjuna on fighting for justice. He constantly cheers Arjuna as his charioteer so that Arjuna will keep fighting and win the war and the importance of justice.
Krishna’s Teaching Arjuna: Bhagwad Gita
How to Succeed after 100 Failures?
We all know you will succeed or fail anytime you start something new. If you succeed right the first time, you frequently learn nothing. Though it may be disheartening if you fail, you know a lot from the failure about everything that could go wrong. In my research career in chemistry at one of the largest corporations, I succeeded in 100 percent of all the projects, but this happened only after several failures each time. After every failure, I would take much pain to research what went wrong, enabling me to manipulate the molecules in the way I wanted to ensure success. Each step of failure counts as two steps to success. Later, when I could not comply with several illegal and immoral requests from my paranoid boss, I left the company to find a position suitable to my integrity. Unfortunately, I was blocked from every direction from the highest levels of Companies and the Presidency itself; I had to do so many odd jobs, try numerous businesses, and try different professions, but the intensity with which I was followed, while so many big corporations collapsed, several merged with others to avoid responsibility, keep driving me to homelessness, God and his strength in holding my hands enabled m to sustain and keep my sick wife alive and had my younger daughter finish her undergraduate degrees and Master’s degrees from Ivy Schools. My older daughter also graduated from an Ivy School. When I turned 65, I did not want to fight with concrete walls with no empathy or compassion; I took my Social Security and moved to India, where I was Born. I restarted, furnishing ideas to big companies to solve their pressing problems. I started making enough money to send my younger daughter to do her doctorate Thesis at the University of Oxford. In the meanwhile, my sick wife developed breast cancer, which was in remission, but she died of a cardiac arrest a few years later. This was followed by my daughter’s death also of Cardiac Arrest, and I was left with Six cats to take care of. These tragedies made me a little brokenhearted, and as a result, I found breathing a little tricky. A CT Scan found severe blockage of the Arteries, and an Angiogram revealed that three main arteries were almost completely blocked. I underwent a triple Bypass surgery, and interestingly, when they opened up, they found the heart pumping well with some difficulty. They did the surgery with a beating heart. Though I went into surgery at 7:00 AM, and my brother told me that I was wheeled into the ICU several hours later, I had no consciousness until the nurses asked me to move my eyelids or fingers. I could not do either of those for several hours, and the nurses, in frustration, told themselves that I might be Gone. Since I was semiconscious, I prayed to the Lord, saying,” Father, please let me move my eyelids or fingers soon if he has any more work for me in this world. Otherwise, please take me away since that will be an opportune time without any suffering.”. Suddenly, within a few minutes, I could move my fingers and eyelids, and in an hour, at about 5:00 Am the following day, I felt like sitting up. Still, since I was all tied up with breathing tubes through my mouth, I had to wait until they loosened me up, and by 7:00 AM, I was able to sit up and start walking a couple of hours later. My health improved rapidly, and a year later, when COVID-19 struck, I committed to concentrate on writing and teaching about God and the divine Mind inside Us. Thank God, and he held my hands all the time; the virus did not dare to get anywhere near me, though I must admit I followed all the protocols of wearing masks and getting vaccinated. The wicked world still will not stop bothering me and both machines of the US and India to this day; forty years since I left my corporate job, and I, being 81, now have to contend with dealing with all allsorts. My faith in God, Brahman, and the Divine Mind inside each of us is so strong that I have written over 140 posts on Thinking Spiritually by synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us and written two books on Thinking Spiritually – Spiritual Thinking For Life.
As I have mentioned in several posts, God created man in His image and likeness. However, man, using his brain, developed an ego. As the human ego grew, man developed selfishness to conquer and subjugate others and bad qualities such as racism, pride, superiority over others, Lying, falsehoods, hatred, anger, etc. There is always a balance between good and evil. When it tilts towards evil, we see false manifestations such as disease, pandemics, and calamities such as hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. By a majority of people acknowledging God as the only power, cause, and effect in this universe and meditating and praying on this only truth, we start reflecting God-like behavior, and these false manifestations will be erased. But in this materialistic world, we think only of material solutions, which only prolongs people’s suffering and leads to wars to control all the resources. We can minimize all adverse consequences through slow and steady progress through Spiritual Thinking.
Spiritual Thinking makes God inside evident in a simple way.
With so much chaos, confusion, outright lies, falsehoods, hatred towards each other, so much trash being spewed through Social Media, Fake news, global warming, crimes, war, and a nasty election campaign every few years, do you ever wonder if there is a God and if He is, where is He? Add to all this confusion is our frequent witnessing that people who cause all this are super wealthy, control the seats of power, are lawless without any accountability, and law-abiding citizens are subject to all torts, discriminations, isolation, and incarceration at the whims of scoundrels and con-artists. In addition to all these, you have natural disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes, wars, and terrorism whereby innocent bystanders suffer untold miseries, with loss of shelter and shortage of food, and face displacement from their own countries as refugees. We can go on and on with such unfortunate, distressing observations, which always leads to the fundamental question: is there a God to whom we can appeal, pray, and seek solutions? How do we approach that God.”
God, when He created man in His image and likeness, certainly hoped that there would not be such a giant mountain of problems if man had behaved as designed and intended. However, man drifted away and developed a human ego and pride, leading to bad qualities such as selfishness. Racism, casteism, superiority over others, lying, cheating, grabbing all resources for themselves, and becoming greedy and dominating others by force. God is Love. So He tolerated all these qualities in the hope that man would change by himself, but that would have required man to know that despite all bad attributes, God still stayed inside man, allowing him to breathe and keep all his organs working and the senses too/
When a baby is conceived, and the fetus develops inside the womb, God bestows all its development and sustenance on the mother. The fetus gets its oxygen through the mother and gets all the nutrients needed from the mother, just like any other living thing, such as tumors, cancer cells, or other living organisms, such as bacteria and viruses. People do not scream when a tumor is cut surgically, but they do not realize that until a baby is taken out of the womb or is born, the fetus has no life of its own. Even after the baby is ejected out of the womb, the baby turns blue; if you have watched a baby being born, and only after the umbilical cord is cut and the Doctor pats the baby’s back while holding them upside down to remove any mucus blocking the passages, something magical happens. The baby lets out a huge cry and starts breathing. At that moment, the Spirit, God, and Brahman enter the baby and become the preserver of the baby until death, when the Brahman leaves. We can neither see the Brahman enter at birth nor leave at death. The newborn becomes a ‘Living Being’ from a ‘Living Thing.’ Just as in all ‘Living Beings.’ God, Divine Mind, Brahman drives the engine of life from birth until death. It is, therefore, absolutely illogical to regulate during the entire pregnancy since God himself has bestowed that responsibility on the mother.
Now that we have understood that God, the divine mind, Brahman, is inside us during our lives, let us see how we can convince ourselves of his presence and abide by Him. As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, with all the chaos and confusion, we continue to breathe and have all our senses active, irrespective of our behavior. This unconditional Love is bestowed on each of us by the Divine Mind. He is right inside us, as close to us as we can imagine. He is there to help us and hold our hands anytime we seek His help. We do this by affirming that God, the divine mind, is the only power and cause and effect of every event in this universe, followed by prayer and meditation on this truth. By doing so with complete devotion and faith, we silence all distracting thoughts, and our human thoughts derived from the brain start synchronizing with the Divine Mind inside us, and we begin to hear God’s thoughts on any issue we pray about. God’s thoughts are full of wisdom and fully implementable immediately, and we see solutions appearing harmoniously. We enjoy the peace and happiness. This is what Spiritual Thinking is and discussed in detail in an early post:
Affirmations and Prayer for Divine Mind Synchronization
Practicing this continuously becomes habitual, and we enjoy peace, prosperity, and harmony. Let us see how God has helped in desperate situations in history.
When Moses searched for God on top of Mount Sinai, he saw a burning Bush without the bush being consumed, and he found his God. Later, when he was leading the enslaved person Israelites out of Egypt, he found himself and the Israelites caught between the Red Sea in the front and Pharoah’s Egyptian Army in the back. When he prayed, a strong wind blew and opened a path amid the Sea so the Israelites could cross over safely.
The Exodus Explored:
Later, when the Israelites were hungry, and there was no food, Manna fell from the sky, and their hunger was satisfied; and yet when they ran out of drinking water, Moses was led to strike a Rock, and water began to flow:
Manna Falls in Angola desert areas.
Water from the Rock:
These historical examples are too numerous, but it is sufficient to say that the presence of God inside us is evident and ready to guide and hold our hands only if we have the humility to eliminate our human ego and seek His help.
Spiritual Thinking is a Beautiful way during divisive campaigns.
Matthew 5:9
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
Matthew 5:38-42
“You have heard that it was said, Eye for eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other cheek to them. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.”
Luke 17:3
. “So watch yourselves. If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them, forgive them if they repent.”
Ephesians 4:26
“In your anger, do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.”
Ephesians 4:29
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what helps build others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
Romans 12:17-21
“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If possible, as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: It is mine to avenge; I will repay, says the Lord. On the contrary, If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Time Magazine
2024 is not just an election year. It’s perhaps the election year.
Globally, more voters than ever in history will head to the polls as at least 64 countries (plus the European Union)—representing a combined population of about 49% of the people in the world—are meant to hold national elections, the results of which, for many, will prove consequential for years to come.
https://time.com/6550920/world-elections-2024/
Elections are always a time for disagreements and the polarization of our thoughts, and people become very passionate about what they think. This year is when almost half of the global population is voting in their national elections, and as if that is not enough, politicians spew so many lies and falsehoods. The news and Social media further misinterpret every motive to divide and polarize people even further. The News media and Social media want to be the Kingmakers, and they take every minute to try to influence people’s minds. As if this is not enough, mischief mongers such as Russia and China spend billions of dollars to create false stories about the candidates and try to influence elections in other countries. If we follow our human instincts, we want our party to win at any cost without realizing that others may want a different outcome. After all, elections are and only reflect a majority of people’s opinions. However, when elected, good leaders would know that they do not reflect only their constituency but the entire population, including those whose party just lost the election. Good leaders understand that they just won the election but will lead all population segments and must care for their views, too. It used to be that way until two decades ago when this extreme polarization started happening around the world, all because of reckless, irresponsible trash politics. In this time of extreme division, one should remember that God is in charge, and He will always make a wise decision.
As individuals, we calmly accept the results peacefully, and those who think they have lost will know that there is a next time. Above all, it is time that we practice spiritual thinking by synchronizing our distorted human thoughts with the divine mind, God, and Brahman inside us. God does not discriminate between two views. Since the same God is inside us, our thoughts will get harmonized and coupled with an understanding that God will always decide what is best for us. By doing so, we would only be able to accept the results of a just election, find peace with each other, and not resort to violence or hatred. Spiritual Thinking offers us a beautiful way during divisive campaigns and peacefully uphold the Democratic Principles everywhere.
