Spiritual Thinking is the answer to superior management

Spiritual Thinking is the answer to superior management.

What is management? Most people will think that it is some complex attribute that needs a degree from Harvard Business Scool or some prestigious business school. No! It is very simple, and all it means is that we take care of everything that needs to be taken care of. Each one of us is involved in management every day. For example, if you are a salaried person, you adjust your expenses to your income. You manage the costs, whom you hire to take care of your lawn, how much you spend on housing, food, utility bills, healthcare, dentist, pets, etc. That is what management is. That is what they do in business too. You decide who you hire what salary you want to pay. How to retain good employees, control costs, maximize revenues without demoralizing the employees, how much you pay for your raw materials, etc. In essence, it is no different that you manage your household, except on a larger scale. One of the reasons women are good in management is because they have some different qualities which win over employees, such as empathy, trustworthiness, compassion, etc.

Let us see how spiritual Thinking helps us in management. Though I explained what management is above in simple terms, many of the issues we discussed are interrelated. For example, you try to control the cost, the quality goes down, or you do not have enough people to finish the job. The key is to keep an eye on all things at once to juggle things for maximum productivity and quality while also maintaining the profit you need to pay taxes and sustain yourself and the business. Since God, Divine Mind, manages billions of humans and other living beings simultaneously, it is best if we seek help from Him. That is where spiritual Thinking comes in.

I will give a personal example in chemical research that I was managing a while back. I had six or seven PhDs working on a project for almost a year. The problem was that at the end of a synthetic process, the product consisted of eight closely related substances. Our concept was that if we set up a dynamic equilibrium of these products and siphon off the one right product, the equilibrium will keep shifting until the mixture is siphoned off as one desired product. Otherwise, separating them by complicated techniques would give several kilograms of a few grams of the product. We demonstrated that we could establish an equilibrium solution using several analytical techniques. But could not find a way to siphon off the right product. So in early December of that year, the upper management decided that it was not possible and would drop the project at the end of the year because it was not cost-effective for manufacture.
It was a Friday night, and before going to bed, I prayed and asked the Father, divine Mind, to let me know if there was a solution. I left a scratch pad next to me and went to sleep. At about 1:00 AM, I woke up with specific directions that I scribbled on the pad and went back to sleep. Early morning on Saturday, I rushed to the laboratory, and even though I had not worked in the lab for several years and did only and only directed others, I got into the lab. I set up the experiment exactly as I was advised in my dream, including the temperature and time. Heaven beholds, I noticed that the product had crystallized out of the solution almost quantitatively. I just dumped the contents and passed on the same instructions to my colleagues on Monday, and they came running to me saying that it worked nearly quantitatively. Analysis showed that it was analytically pure desired product. Chemical engineers scaled it up within a few days and revived the project with greater manpower. I have since used spiritual Thinking to solve several technical problems.
Though the above is on a complex scientific problem, the same principle applies to personnel, financial, morale issues and resources, etc., that management will have to deal with every day. Spiritual Thinking and ignoring the human ego, and seeking divine help with complex management problems will be far more productive than the carrot and stick approach practiced by my management executives everywhere. A combination of humility and divine help can effectively solve all problems.

From birth until our last breath, a supreme power stays inside us, allowing us to breathe, making all the material organs work, and giving us the five senses to guide us. This power, called by various names such as God, brahman, Yahweh, Allah, Divine Mind, etc., is the engine of life. This Divine Mind can help us anytime we seek God’s help. The Divine Mind has all control over us, but we can only appeal to it through affirmations that God is all in all and is the Sole power for all cause and effect in this universe. He is present in us 24/7 by synchronizing our human thoughts with this Divine Mind. God passes on his thoughts to us. This synchronization becomes habitual through constant prayers and affirmations, and we enjoy Peace, Harmony, Prosperity, and Happiness. This is called Spiritual Thinking and is the backbone of peaceful bliss in our lives."
