Spiritual Thinking is an easy way to constantly Practice.

Spiritual Thinking is an easy way to constantly Practice.

It is best to focus on God to lead us during the turbulence of ups and downs in our daily lives. Spiritual Thinking is an easy process to practice often by concentrating on the one reality, God, who is all in all, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient, followed by meditation and prayer on that reality. When we do that, our human thoughts get synchronized with the Divine Mind inside each of us, and we clear our minds of distractions and begin to hear god’s views on every issue, opening up fresh ideas to implement. Doing this repeatedly becomes habitual, like driving a car without reminding ourselves of every action. Thus, spiritual thinking becomes an easy way to practice constantly.

Spiritual Thinking is a great way to follow God.

Deuteronomy 5:33
Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you so that you may live, prosper, and prolong your days in the land you will possess.

Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Psalm 119:133
Direct my footsteps according to your word;
Let no sin rule over me.

2 Thessalonians 3:5
”May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Deuteronomy 13:4
You must follow the Lord your God and revere him. Keep his commands and obey him; serve and hold fast to him.

Galatians 5:25
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:1
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children.

Psalm 128:1
Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
Who walk in obedience to him.

Upanishads

The Upanishad recommends devotion to godliness and constant remembrance of the beauty and love of a personal god. This ultimately leads to oneness with abstract Brahman.

Bhagwat Gita

God, incarnate (having taken on bodily form, 9.11) as Krishna, is one (and many–9.15, 11.5-), supreme, infinite, all-encompassing, all-pervasive (6.30-31, 9.4), omnipotent (beyond action (13.29-31), the beginningless and endless (11.19, 11.47), immortality and death (15.5), being and non-being (9.19) and beyond (11.37).

From birth until our last breath, a supreme power stays inside us 24/7, allowing us to breathe, activating all our senses, and keeping all organs functioning. This supreme power is called by various names such as God, divine Mind, Infinite Mind, Brahman, Allah, Yahweh, etc. This power, God, is the engine of life and is the cause and effect of every event in this universe. He stays inside us all the time and is ready and willing to help us anytime we need Him. This Divine Mind is Omnipotent, omnipresent, and Omniscient.. It is the same Divine Mind in all living Beings. Outside this divine mind is our human mind, which is controlled by our human brain and has its own thinking and acting capacity bestowed on us by God. The human brain-derived thoughts develop an ego( referred to as ‘AHAM,’ as opposed to the humility and intelligence provided by the Divine Mind and called OM. OM and AHAM conflict with each other in all of us. Unfettered Aham develops all negative qualities such as selfishness, hunger for Power over other God-created beings, hatred, pride, dishonesty, evil intents, racism, casteism, etc. In Spiritual Thinking, we acknowledge God, the Divine Mind, as the only Power in this universe, meditate, and pray to synchronize our human thoughts with the Divine Mind. When our human thoughts are synchronized with the Divine Mind, we enjoy Peace, Harmony, Happiness, and a sense of calm that enables us to listen to God’s thoughts on every issue we are dealing with. Since the Divine Mind is the same in all humans, our God-derived thoughts on every subject will be very similar. We will all hear identical ideas from God, and there will always be Harmon’s opinion, and we will not be tearing each other apart like we do in modern times and creating conflicts and hatred all the time. God intended this when He created Man in His image and likeness. Unfortunately, Man guided by ‘AHAM’ drifted and caused all disharmony such as racism, environmental calamities, pandemics, tragedies, etc. The only remedy will be for us to practice Spiritual Thinking by synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside each of us and getting to know and follow God all the time. If we let the Divine Mind guide us all the time, we will enjoy peace and harmony in this world instead of the current instability and unhappiness.

Spiritual Thinking is a great way to counter Poverty.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7
“The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. You must give as you have decided, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Psalm 146:5-7
“Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry.”

Luke 6:30-32/Matthew 5:42-43
“Give to everyone who begs from you, and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do to others as you would have them do to you. ‘If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.”

1 John 3:17-18
“How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need yet refuses help? Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”
Deuteronomy 15:10-11
“Since there will never cease to be some in need on the earth, I therefore command you, ‘Open your hand to the poor and needy neighbor in your land.’”

Hagwad Gita
• The earth is the mother of all people and should have equal rights. …
• All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. …
• We will never have true civilization until we have learned to recognize the rights of others.
One question frequently arises: If God is good, why do so many poor people exist in this world? People suffering through financial difficulties are made to believe that there is no God and that evildoers are the power, and only by bowing to them will our challenges go away. In today’s profit-oriented capitalistic system, society is deliberately divided into two groups, ‘the haves’ and ‘have-nots.’ God never discriminates; whether you are rich or poor, God bestows the same love on everyone.
When God created man in His image and likeness, He also gave them the capacity to think. A large majority used this privilege to develop selfish qualities and decided to enrich themselves at other’s costs. This aggressive, ungodlike behavior resulted in the Rich becoming more affluent and poor people becoming poorer. This effect is not God’s creation but a pure function of human aggressiveness. This behavior enabled selfish people to go higher to feed their interests at the expense of others. Since God, the Divine Mind, is inside all of us, rich or poor, there is ample opportunity for poor people to seek God to advance themselves. The main difficulty then lies in the collective belief system dictating the policies of selfish elected leaders. Whereas benevolent policies of developed countries slowly eliminate this disparity, in backward cultures, there exists a large concentration of poor people. If each of us were practicing the principle, ‘Do unto others what you would have them do unto you,’ the extent of poverty could be significantly reduced. While helping a poor man is a temporary solution, like giving a fish to a hungry man, teaching Spiritual Thinking will enable the poor man to be independent and trust God, the Divine Mind, for all his needs. It is like showing a hungry man how to fish so that he can feed himself.
Spiritual Thinking involves the synchronization of our human brain-derived thoughts with the ever-present, Divine Mind inside each of us through affirmations, prayer, and meditation, as has been discussed in one of the very early posts:
Affirmations and prayer for Divine Mind Synchronization:
https://www.thinkspiritually.net/affirmations-and-prayer-an-essential-component-for-divine-mind-synchronization/2021/12/19/self-improvement/relationships/

When we synchronize our human thoughts with the Divine Mind, we can eliminate all distracting thoughts and fears and listen to God for his thoughts in any situation. God has infinite resources to help man and would readily provide ideas that we can use immediately in any dire situation. This is called ‘God’s law of adjustment’ and described in an article in the Journal of Christian Science by Adam H. Dickey in 1916. Adam Dickey was a personal assistant to Mary Baker Eddy, the founder and Pastor of Christian Science:
https://journal.christianscience.com/issues/1916/1/33-10/god-s-law-of-adjustment
Dickey states, “There is a law of God that applies to every conceivable phase of human experience, and no situation or condition can present itself to mortal thought which can exist outside of the direct influence of this infinite law. The effect of the operation of law is always to correct and govern, to harmonize and adjust. Whatever is out of order or discordant can have no basic Principle of its own but must come under the direct government of God through what may be termed God’s law of adjustment. We are not responsible for carrying out this law. We can do nothing to increase, stimulate, or intensify the action or operation of the divine Mind since it is constantly present, always operative, and never ceases to assert and declare itself when rightly appealed to. All we have to do is scientifically bring this law of adjustment into contact with our unfinished problem, and when we have done this, we have performed our full duty.”
Thus, if a man is starving, he does not have to go and start begging, but know and pray that God, the Divine mind inside him, will meet his need if he would transcend his hunger and trust God. A solution will immediately appear to him. Spiritual Thinking is the way to hear God’s voice.
Most underdeveloped and developing countries have much poverty in their land. The politicians want to keep it that way by handing out benefits to them so that they kill any incentive the poor people may have to advance themselves, and the rich can get richer at the poor people’s cost. Instead, if they are taught to think spiritually and know that God, the Divine Mind inside them, can provide ideas for them to prosper, the whole country can benefit. This is especially true in countries like India, where poor people tend to follow what their parents do. If the parent is a cobble, the son will also be a cobbler instead of seeking education and knowledge. Another constantly promoted myth is the need for a “Guru” or teacher, which you must follow. Most of us have so many mentors who are our teachers, and very seldom do we achieve anything by ourselves as we constantly learn from one another. But people who are manipulators will continually keep suggesting that you get hold of a “guru” and start worshipping him rather than the Divine Mind inside us. A famous philosopher and disciple of Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, does not ever talk about “guru Worship’. He always talked about being self-reliant and trusting God; you can achieve anything you desire. If only these hindrances had disappeared and people had been taught to ‘think spiritually,’ poor people in these countries would have learned spiritual thinking and advanced themselves to their full potential. I hope God bestows some of His thoughts on politicians to make policies beneficial to the people rather than to be cronies of business crooks who control them to enrich themselves.
Thus, Spiritual Thinking is a great way to counter poverty.

Spiritual Thinking is the simple Truth beyond imagination.

1 Corinthians 2:9
“9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Mark 11:24
“24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

2 Corinthians 10:5
“5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Colossians 3:2
“2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Proverbs 28:26
“26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”

1 Corinthians 2:9
“9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Upanishads
Katha Upanishad tells us that virtual objects exist only during kalpanā-kāla, i.e., during the period of imagination, owing to avidyā.

The Mandukya Upanishad describes three states of consciousness, namely waking (jågrat), dreaming (Swapna), and deep sleep (suṣupti), and ‘the fourth,’ beyond and underlying these three states:

Bhagwad Gita
In the Bhagavad Gita, illusion, or Maya, is intricately connected to attachment. Maya refers to the deceptive nature of the material world, which makes us perceive things differently from their true essence.

When God created man in His image and likeness, He also gave man a material brain to think. Depending on how well this material organ is used, the brain can conceive of many things to solve many everyday problems. Historically, this has been the essence of the progress of technologies and convenience for humanity. Thus, to begin with, when he found that his feet had a harsh environment like thorns, he thought of using the leather from the animals he would kill to feed himself; he used the skins for making shoes and slippers for the feet. He tamed animals such as donkeys and horses to travel farther. He then built carts to carry the materials; since it was difficult to drag these carts, he, by trial and error, made wheels to attach and axles to move these carts. He kept making progress until he could discover the automotives and engines, etc. The brain can extend its imagination to progress each step. Sometimes, the imagination can only stretch so far with the human brain. What if you think you have reached the end of the road and think a particular problem can’t be solved? In those instances, you need a quantum jump in your thoughts to perceive a solution.
Let us take a few examples from the history of how several such problems got solved:
When Moses was leading the Israelites out of Egypt from slavery under the Pharoah, at one point, they had the Red Sea on one side with the Egyptian army behind them. The human brain could not have conceived an idea to escape being trapped. Israelites panicked, and several cursed Moses for leading them to this situation. Moses remained calm and appealed to God, knowing that nothing was impossible for God. A strong wind blew, parting the sea, making way for all the Israelites to cross the Red Sea, but it closed up before the Egyptians could follow, and they all perished.
Red Sea Parting:

Again, when the Israelites wandered in the wilderness and hungry, Moses prayed, and Manna fell from the sky.

Manna from the sky:

When they were thirsty, Moses was led to strike a rock, and water started to flow:

Water from the Rock:

Elisha Multiplying the Widow’s Oil

In outstanding debt and concerned that a creditor would take her two sons to be bondsmen, the widow approached Elisha for help. When he asked if she owned anything of value, she replied that she had only a pot of oil. Elisha instructed the widow to borrow as many vessels as possible from all her neighbors. She poured her small amount of oil into each boat, each remaining full. When she told Elisha of the miracle, he said, “Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt; you and your children shall live from the rest.”

Mahabharatha:

When Yudhistira, the eldest of the Pandavas, lost a game of dice to the Kauravas and had bet everything, Kauravas wanted to humiliate the Pandavas by disrobing Draupadi, their shared wife, she prayed to Lord Krishna and the saree kept stretching until the Kauravas got tired and let Pandavas go:

Again, when the Pandavas were in exile in the Forest, Krishna had given them a pot called ‘Akshayapatra,’ which was always full of food and could never be emptied, much like when Jesus fed 5000 people with two fishes and five Loaves of Bread and was left over with 12 baskets.

I will conclude with my experience several times in my research career and later. In Research, whenever a problem would reach a dead end, and the management would get ready to turn off the project, I would leave a pen and paper on my nightstand and pray, asking the Divine Mind, God, to give me a solution if there was any and without fail, I would always get specific ideas with instructions during my sleep, which I would get up and note it down and invariable each of these ideas was successful and rescued the projects every time.

As we can see, spiritual thinking, by synchronizing our human thoughts with the divine mind, God inside us, will always lead to a solution that is beyond the human imagination.

Spiritual Thinking is a simple way of manifesting Truth.

John 8:32
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak and declare to you what will come.
John 17:17
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
John 4:24
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who needs no shame and is rightly handling the word of truth.
Proverbs 12:22
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully delight him.
Ephesians 6:14
Stand, therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
1 John 3:18
Little children, let us not love in words or words but in deeds and truth.
Psalm 145:18
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 25:5
Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait all day long.
Psalm 119:160
The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.

Bhagwad Gita
“For one who has conquered his mind, a mind is best of friends, but for one who has failed to do so, a mind is the greatest enemy.” -Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita.

Mundaka Upanishad
Satya-meva Jayate ( means- Truth alone Wins )

In this era of division and falsehoods, one often wonders whether ‘Truth’ even matters. When we realize that no matter how small a proportion of people believe in truth and honesty, these small voices still maintain the dignity of man and decency in this world. The rapid rise of electronic media in the last few decades has enabled the mischief mongers and liars who propagate falsehood to gain a powerful platform to spread lies, seemingly without any conscience or consequences or even owning responsibility for their actions. These untruths spread to gain political advantage, destroying the democratic principles and even the moral collective character of decent societies. These lies often have millions of receptive eyes and ears. Fortunately, Jesus’ words, “ having Eyes See ye not and having ears hear ye not,” have significant relevance in establishing the ‘truth.’ One such means that is readily available for honest people and societies is Spiritual Thinking. The reason is that ‘Truth remains the same’ while lies constantly shift to avoid responsibility or demonstration of character. Since the all-knowing God is the same whether truth or lies dominate in societies, He is always present in each of us as Divine Mind, driving the engine of life in every one of us, always giving us a chance to correct ourselves and guide us during these turbulent times. The ‘lie mongers’ have a high ego and think of themselves as God. As we had seen in an earlier post, there is an eternal conflict between the Divine Mind and the human ‘ego’:
https://www.thinkspiritually.net/eternal-conflict-of-the-human-ego-and-the-divine-mind/2022/01/30/self-improvement/overvoming-fear/

This conflict is the reason for the worst pandemic the world has experienced for more than two years, with untold miseries and human carnage. During the pandemic, the Divine Mind inside me urged me to focus on Spiritual Thinking as the means to reform ourselves and those of us who have been practicing Spiritual Thinking all our lives amid egoistic crooks. I made a commitment to spread ‘Spiritual Thinking’ as the way to go, and since then, I have been devoting full time to teaching and spreading the truth’ through Spiritual Thinking. This has enabled me to write more than 140 articles on Spiritual Thinking and two books. Since I was doing this from the bottom of my heart with God urging me to go on, I have not been discouraged by human manipulations and lies to disrupt my thoughts, and commandment from the Divine Mind inside me keeps me constantly cheering me on my work.

Spiritual Thinking is the synchronization of our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us through affirmations, prayer, and meditation, as I discussed in an earlier post:
https://www.thinkspiritually.net/affirmations-and-prayer-an-essential-component-for-divine-mind-synchronization/2021/12/19/self-improvement/relationships/

When we affirm that God, Divine Mind, Brahman inside us 24/7, is the only power in this universe and is the cause and effect of every event in this universe, and meditate and pray, we eliminate all distractions on our mind, enabling us to turn off all human senses; we can hear God’s words from the Divine Mind inside. Since this divine mind is the same in each of us, no matter where we are, our thoughts are all in harmony, and we are listening to the One and only God’s voice. This harmony results in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, and we are all happy, prosperous, and quiet. This prosperity is not dependent on how many dollars we have in the bank or the title and power we possess, but just knowing that God is right inside us, holding our hands and guiding us. Throughout history, this is the principle that guided several people and let us recollect a few prominent ones:
Story Of Joseph:
He is the favorite son of the patriarch Jacob, and his jealous brothers sell him into slavery in Biblical Egypt, where he eventually ends up incarcerated. After correctly interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh, however, he rises to second-in-command in Egypt and saves Egypt during a famine. He maintained his character and poise, even when he was falsely accused of trying to seduce the wife of Potiphar, his boss, and thrown in jail, where he started interpreting the dreams of everyone, getting the attention of Pharoah, the King of Egypt.
Egyptian travelers saved Joseph.

Potifer’s wife accused Joseph.

Story Daniel in the Den of Lions:

In Daniel 6, Daniel is raised to high office by his royal master, Darius the Mede. Daniel’s jealous rivals trick Darius into issuing a decree that for thirty days, no prayers should be addressed to any god or man but Darius himself; anyone who disobeys this edict will be thrown to the lions. Pious Daniel continues to pray daily to the God of Israel, and the king, although deeply distressed, must condemn Daniel to death, for the edicts of the Medes and Persians cannot be altered. Hoping for Daniel’s deliverance, Darius has him cast into the pit. At daybreak, the king hurries to the place and cries out anxiously, asking if God had saved his friend. Daniel replies that his God had sent an angel to close the jaws of the lions “because I was found blameless before him.” The king commands that those who had conspired against Daniel be thrown to the lions in his place with their wives and children and that the whole world should tremble and fear before the God of Daniel

Story of David and Goliath:

According to 1 Samuel 17, Goliath, a heavily armed Philistine giant, challenged Saul for 40 days to send out a man to fight him. No one would face this warrior until David, armed only with a sling and stones, volunteered. David hit the giant in the forehead with a stone and killed him.

Story of King Harishchandra:
King Harish Chandra was a virtuous king and had never spoken a lie in his entire life. Sage Viswamitra had a bet with the fellow sage Vashishta that he could make Harishchandra lie. The Hindu sage Vishwamitra approaches King Harishchandra and informs him of a promise made by the king in the sage’s dream to donate his entire kingdom. Being virtuous, Harishchandra immediately donates his kingdom to the sage and walks away with his wife Saibya and son Rohitashwa. As the world came under the control of the sage, after Harishchandra donated his kingdom, the king had to go to Varanasi, a holy town dedicated to Lord Shiva, which was the only place outside the influence of the sage.
While working as a servant for the Brahmin family, Harishchandra’s son gets bitten by a snake while plucking the flowers for his master’s prayer; he then dies. Taramati takes his body to the cremation grounds where Harishchandra is working. She has insufficient money to pay to perform the rites, and Harishchandra does not recognize his wife and son. He advises Taramati to sell off her Mangalsutra, a symbol of marriage in India, to pay the amount for cremation. Having been granted the boon that only her husband can see her mangalsutra, Taramati recognizes Harishchandra and makes him aware of the happenings. Dutiful Harishchandra requests Taramati to pay the amount to finish the cremation and declines to accept mangalsutra as the amount. Taramati then offers her only possession, a saree – her lone dress, a part of which was used to cover the dead body of her son.
Harishchandra accepts the offering, but before he can start the cremation, the lord Vishnu (the supreme God in Hinduism), Indra (the lord of heaven in Hinduism), several Hindu deities, and the sage Vishwamitra manifest themselves and praise Harishchandra for his perseverance and steadfastness. They restore him as the king and bless all his subjects.

Thus, Spiritual Thinking, which involves synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us, is a simple way of manifesting Truth.

From birth until our last breath, a supreme power stays inside us, allowing us to breathe, making all the material organs work, and giving us the five senses to guide us. This power, called by various names such as God, brahman, Yahweh, Allah, Divine Mind, etc., is the engine of life. This Divine Mind can help us anytime we seek God’s help. The Divine Mind has all control over us, but we can only appeal to it through affirmations that God is all in all and is the Sole power for all cause and effect in this universe. He is present in us 24/7 by synchronizing our human thoughts with this Divine Mind. God passes on his thoughts to us. This synchronization becomes habitual through constant prayers and affirmations, and we enjoy Peace, Harmony, Prosperity, and Happiness. This is called Spiritual Thinking and is the backbone of peaceful bliss in our lives."
