Mundaka Upanishad
Satya-meva Jayate ( means- Truth alone Wins )

In this era of division and falsehoods, one often wonders whether ‘Truth’ even matters. When we realize that no matter how small a proportion of people believe in truth and honesty, these small voices still maintain the dignity of man and decency in this world. The rapid rise of electronic media in the last few decades has enabled the mischief mongers and liars who propagate falsehood to gain a powerful platform to spread lies, seemingly without any conscience or consequences or even owning responsibility for their actions. These untruths spread to gain political advantage, destroying the democratic principles and even the moral collective character of decent societies. These lies often have millions of receptive eyes and ears. Fortunately, Jesus’ words, “ having Eyes See ye not and having ears hear ye not,” have significant relevance in establishing the ‘truth.’ One such means that is readily available for honest people and societies is Spiritual Thinking. The reason is that ‘Truth remains the same’ while lies constantly shift to avoid responsibility or demonstration of character. Since the all-knowing God is the same whether truth or lies dominate in societies, He is always present in each of us as Divine Mind, driving the engine of life in every one of us, always giving us a chance to correct ourselves and guide us during these turbulent times. The ‘lie mongers’ have a high ego and think of themselves as God. As we had seen in an earlier post, there is an eternal conflict between the Divine Mind and the human ‘ego’:

Eternal Conflict of the human ego and the Divine Mind

This conflict is the reason for the worst pandemic the world has experienced for more than two years, with untold miseries and human carnage. During the pandemic, the Divine Mind inside me urged me to focus my thoughts on Spiritual Thinking as the means to reform ourselves and those of us who have been practicing Spiritual Thinking all our lives amid egoistic crooks. I made a commitment to spread ‘Spiritual Thinking’ as the way to go, and since then, I have been devoting full time to teaching and spreading the truth’ through Spiritual Thinking. This has enabled me to write more than 140 articles on Spiritual Thinking and two books. Since I was doing this from the bottom of my heart with God urging me to go on, I have not been discouraged by human manipulations and lies to disrupt my thoughts, and commandment from the Divine Mind inside me keeps me constantly cheering me on my work.

Spiritual Thinking is the synchronization of our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us through affirmations, prayer, and meditation, as I discussed in an earlier post:

Affirmations and Prayer for Divine Mind Synchronization

When we affirm that God, Divine Mind, Brahman inside us 24/7, is the only power in this universe and is the cause and effect of every event in this universe, and meditate and pray, we eliminate all distractions on our mind, enabling us to turn off all human senses; we can hear God’s words from the Divine Mind inside. Since this divine mind is the same in each of us, no matter where we are, our thoughts are all in harmony, and we are listening to the One and only God’s voice. This harmony results in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, and we are all happy, prosperous, and quiet. This prosperity is not dependent on how many dollars we have in the bank or the title and power we possess, but just knowing that God is right inside us, holding our hands and guiding us. Throughout history, this is the principle that guided several people and let us recollect a few prominent ones:
Story Of Joseph:
He is the favorite son of the patriarch Jacob, and his jealous brothers sell him into slavery in Biblical Egypt, where he eventually ends up incarcerated. After correctly interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh, however, he rises to second-in-command in Egypt and saves Egypt during a famine. He maintained his character and poise, even when he was falsely accused of trying to seduce the wife of Potiphar, his boss, and thrown in jail, where he started interpreting the dreams of everyone, getting the attention of Pharoah, the King of Egypt.
Egyptian travelers saved Joseph.

Story Daniel in the Den of Lions:

In Daniel 6, Daniel is raised to high office by his royal master, Darius the Mede. Daniel’s jealous rivals trick Darius into issuing a decree that for thirty days, no prayers should be addressed to any god or man but Darius himself; anyone who disobeys this edict will be thrown to the lions. Pious Daniel continues to pray daily to the God of Israel, and the king, although deeply distressed, must condemn Daniel to death, for the edicts of the Medes and Persians cannot be altered. Hoping for Daniel’s deliverance, Darius has him cast into the pit. At daybreak, the king hurries to the place and cries out anxiously, asking if God had saved his friend. Daniel replies that his God had sent an angel to close the jaws of the lions “because I was found blameless before him.” The king commands that those who had conspired against Daniel be thrown to the lions in his place with their wives and children and that the whole world should tremble and fear before the God of Daniel

Story of David and Goliath:

According to 1 Samuel 17, Goliath, a heavily armed Philistine giant, challenged Saul for 40 days to send out a man to fight him. No one would face this warrior until David, armed only with a sling and stones, volunteered. David hit the giant in the forehead with a stone and killed him.

The Isrealite David attacks the giant Philistine Goliath with a sling in the valley of Elah, Israel, 3d render

Story of King Harishchandra:
King Harish Chandra was a virtuous king and had never spoken a lie in his entire life. Sage Viswamitra had a bet with the fellow sage Vashishta that he could make Harishchandra lie. The Hindu sage Vishwamitra approaches King Harishchandra and informs him of a promise made by the king in the sage’s dream to donate his entire kingdom. Being virtuous, Harishchandra immediately donates his kingdom to the sage and walks away with his wife Saibya and son Rohitashwa. As the world came under the control of the sage, after Harishchandra donated his kingdom, the king had to go to Varanasi, a holy town dedicated to Lord Shiva, which was the only place outside the influence of the sage.
While working as a servant for the Brahmin family, Harishchandra’s son gets bitten by a snake while plucking the flowers for his master’s prayer; he then dies. Taramati takes his body to the cremation grounds where Harishchandra is working. She has insufficient money to pay to perform the rites, and Harishchandra does not recognize his wife and son. He advises Taramati to sell off her Mangalsutra, a symbol of marriage in India, to pay the amount for cremation. Having been granted the boon that only her husband can see her mangalsutra, Taramati recognizes Harishchandra and makes him aware of the happenings. Dutiful Harishchandra requests Taramati to pay the amount to finish the cremation and declines to accept mangalsutra as the amount. Taramati then offers her only possession, a saree – her lone dress, a part of which was used to cover the dead body of her son.
Harishchandra accepts the offering, but before he can start the cremation, the lord Vishnu (the supreme God in Hinduism), Indra (the lord of heaven in Hinduism), several Hindu deities, and the sage Vishwamitra manifest themselves and praise Harishchandra for his perseverance and steadfastness. They restore him as the king and bless all his subjects.

Thus, Spiritual Thinking, which involves synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us, is a simple way of manifesting Truth.

He has just released a book on Amazon on : Think Spiritually, Spiritual Thinking For Life. https://www.amazon.com/author/sivaraman_raghu/ ." From birth until our last breath, a supreme power stays inside us, allowing us to breathe, making all the material organs work, and giving us the five senses to guide us. This power, called by various names such as God, brahman, Yahweh, Allah, Divine Mind, etc., is the engine of life. This Divine Mind can help us anytime we seek God’s help. The Divine Mind has all control over us, but we can only appeal to it through affirmations that God is all in all and is the Sole power for all cause and effect in this universe. He is present in us 24/7 by synchronizing our human thoughts with this Divine Mind. God passes on his thoughts to us. This synchronization becomes habitual through constant prayers and affirmations, and we enjoy Peace, Harmony, Prosperity, and Happiness. This is called Spiritual Thinking and is the backbone of peaceful bliss in our lives."
