Spiritual Thinking is a great way to show God’s Love.

Spiritual Thinking is a great way to show God’s Love.

God is present in each man, his creation, as Divine Mind, driving the engine of life from birth until death, and is always available to man if a man seeks God’s help in any situation. God is only available if we first recognize Him as the only reality and is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. He is the origin of all materiality we can see and feel as natural. We must meditate, pray, and constantly affirm the above truth to do this. When we do this, our brain-derived thoughts are synchronized with the Divine Mind, and we can hear God’s advice clearly, which is always good. This synchronization, called Spiritual Thinking, enables us to show God’s Love for all of us.

Spiritual Thinking is a simple way to manifest sound.

Upanishads on Brahman:
Know Him Who is the origin and dissolution of the universe – the source of all virtues, the destroyer of all sins, the master of all good qualities, the immortal, and the abode of the universe – as seated in your self. He is perceived as different from, and transcending, the tree of Samsara as well as time and form.

Bhagwad Gita:
Never engage in action for reward, nor should you long for inaction.” -Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita. “Do everything you have to do, but not with greed, not with ego, not with lust, not with envy but with love, compassion, humility, and devotion.” -Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita.

Exodus 34:6
The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth.

1 Chronicles 16:34
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Ezra 3:11
And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: “For He is good, for His mercy endures forever toward Israel.”
Psalm 25:8
Good and upright is the Lord.
Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 145:9
The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.
Mark 10:18
No one is good but One, that is, God.
God is Love. We cannot ask for more than that. He dwells in all of us as Divine Mind and is ready to bestow all Good on us. It is for us to ask Him; the question is how? When God’s infinite Mind created man in His image and likeness, God also gave man the capacity to think independently. Unfortunately, man developed an ego and selfishness. He wanted everything for himself and set all the negative qualities such as pride, envy and hatred, greed, and other narcissistic qualities that drove him away from the God, Divine Mind inside him. The more ego and pride he developed, the farther he went from God. In Upanishads, ego and pride are referred to as ‘Aham’ and are the opposite of ‘OM,” which refers to the Divine Mind, God inside each of us. Man’s objective in life is to overcome ‘Aham’ entirely and surrender to ’OM.’ That is the highest Self-realization state to achieve liberation or salvation. In Bhagwad Gita, lord Krishna alludes to that.
In Daniel 6, Daniel is raised to high office by his royal master, Darius the Mede. Daniel’s jealous rivals tricked Darius into issuing a decree that for thirty days, no prayers should be addressed to any god or man but Darius himself; anyone who disobeyed this edict would be thrown to the lions. The king nervously went to the lion’s den, cried out for Daniel, and asked if his God could save him. Daniel replied, yes, his God had made the lion like a lamb and did not harm Daniel even a bit. The king, Darius the Mede, made Daniel a Governor and was next in power to the king.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Hebrew names Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) are figures from the biblical Book of Daniel, primarily chapter 3. In the narrative, Nebuchadnezzar II, King of Babylon, throws the three Jewish men into a fiery furnace for refusing to bow to the king’s image. All three came out unharmed, and the king admitted God saved them.

I will add a story of my own that happened when we were living in Naperville, Illinois, in the suburbs of Chicago. We belonged to a Christian Science Church then. My wife and I were heading the Lecture Committee, and we had arranged a Christian Science Lecture on Riverside Park to enable anyone interested to attend. It was raining all day that day, and when we were ready to go to the Lecture, everyone had expected it to rain and showed up with an umbrella. My daughter Jyoti reminded me that if we had faith in God, he would hold the rain off until the lecture was over. So we were the ones without an umbrella. The amazing thing was that the rain held off during the course until we got home. Then came the heavy shower for several hours. I have since then experienced the same phenomenon during the monsoon season here in Chennai, India. This is not because I could do any miracles, but as Jesus said, and I quote: ‘By myself, I can do nothing, but by the power of one who sent me, I can do anything.’
When we practice spiritual thinking and by constant practice, we make it habitual; we do things unconsciously by the Power of the Divine Mind inside us. These are no miracles but highly natural if we practice Spiritual Thinking by synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us. Spiritual Thinking is a simple way to manifest sound.

Spiritual Thinking makes it simple to avoid negativity.

Proverbs 15:26.
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, but the words of the pure are pleasant.
Mathew 15:19.
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, and slander.
Romans 1:21.
Although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him. Instead, they became futile in thinking, and their foolish hearts darkened.

Philippians 4:8.
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”

Colossians 3:2
Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.

2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

James 1:14-15
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
We all feel depressed and negative sometimes. During the recent pandemic, everyone was disheartened when new variations emerged. We were racing against time to discover and test new vaccines. Even after taking the vaccine, new variants are still propping up. How do we keep from getting discouraged and being negative? When we keep concentrating on one reality and truth: “ god is all in all and is the cause and effect of every event in the universe, and He creates and bestows only Good.” So obviously, the pandemic could not have originated from God and hence must be a false manifestation of an unreality. False declarations arise from our beliefs and sins; therefore, if we correct our thoughts in the right direction, these false manifestations must disappear. How do we do that?
The first thing we do is to know and recognize that God is all in all and bestows only Good and that He is present in each of us as Divine Mind to help us anytime we seek His help. This is what Spiritual Thinking is all about. We synchronize our material human brain and ego-derived thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us. All our false and negative thinking gets washed off and replaced by positive, God-oriented reviews. God refines our character with good qualities such as integrity, honesty, truth, compassion, empathy, etc. Bad characteristics such as envy, hatred, pride, falsehoods, selfishness, etc get washed away by God’s Love, Grace, Wisdom, and Forgiveness. In Bhagwat Gita, Lord Krishna says, “Never engage in action for the sake of rewards and with greed, ego or lust or envy but with love, compassion, humility, and devotion.” In another instance, he tells Arjuna, the warrior, to rise above the world of perception, emotion, and thought and reach the supreme being.
The Upanishads on Brahman(Divine Mind): “Know Him, God, Who is origin and dissolution of the Universe,” “ the source of all virtues, the destroyer of all sins, the master of all good, the immortal, and the abode of the Universe…as seated in your self.” Remember and understand that God is right inside you, as close as you need, and is available 24/7 if you seek Him.
However, to synchronize our human thoughts with the Divine Mind, we need to focus and concentrate and eliminate all distracting thoughts and visions around us all the time. This is done through meditation, Prayers, affirmations of truth, and focus. We can make Spiritual Thinking second nature in our habits by constant and consistent practice. This requires self-discipline and training. Once it becomes habitual, Spiritual Thinking makes it simple to avoid negativity, and we think only positively, even under dire circumstances.

Spiritual Thinking is a simple way beyond blind faith.

John 20:29
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Proverbs 14:15
The simple believeth every word, but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

2 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

James 2:14-17
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man says he hath faith and have not works? Can faith save him?

Bhagwad Gita: Chapter 2: 64-66
2:64
But by perceiving objects with the organs free from attraction and repulsion and under his control, the self-controlled man attains serenity.
2:65
When there is serenity, there follows eradication of all his sorrows because the wisdom of one with a serene mind soon becomes firmly established.
2:66
For the unsteady, there is no wisdom, and there is no meditation for the broken man. And for the unmeditated man, there is no peace. How can there be happiness for one without peace?
In Hebrews, chapter 11, faith is described as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. In other words, for faith, you must have some hope And trust since you cannot see the evidence yet. We all have gone through stages when it is easier to believe in something unthinkingly rather than by understanding. The reason is straightforward. We have one leg on materiality, wanting all material possessions, and yet believe in a higher power to care for all our problems. So we go to church on Sundays or visit a nearby temple to perform some pujas and think that is all we have to do to meet our obligations. That is blind faith based on our actions ( attending Church or Temple). Such belief is only based on our capable understanding; then, as Jesus said, each one is given a confidence suited to their needs. However, if you want peace and happiness, you have to develop an understanding of God and how to reach Him.
Spiritual Thinking starts with the understanding that God is all in all. He is present in us, as His creation, as the Divine Mind or Brahman. The upanishaDS refers to Brahman as OM, the supreme creator, cause, and effect of everything in this Universe. When we synchronize our human brain-derived, ego-based thoughts with this ever-present Divine Mind, we receive God’s input on our ideas, act wisely, and attain peace, harmony, and happiness. If we work based on blind faith, we miss this opportunity for God’s input, and whatever gain we make is temporal. In the Vedas, rites and rituals are prescribed for various goals and achievements, and the practice of these is referred to as Karmas. This path through ceremonies and rituals is called Karma Yoga. Both the Upanishads and Bhagwad Gita emphasize that the ultimate goal for each one is to reach the Supreme Self ( Salvation, Moksha, or Mukti), and the only path is through knowledge and wisdom, which is through Gnana Yoga. That is what Spiritual Thinking is.
When Hindus visit the temples or perform rites and rituals, including in the presence of fire, called Havans, all the congratulations and prayers start with OM. The significance, as intended by Vedas, is as follows: since God, Brahman, and Divine Mind are inside us, driving the engine of life and cannot be seen or felt by any of the senses, the worship is to various forms that we can see, such as the idols, fire, etc, that we think are worshiping God in that form.

‘The essence is that we understand that it is only an imaginary form of various Gods, but we are honoring the ‘OM,’ Brahman, inside us. But most believers think the state is the God rather than the ‘OM’ inside us. This is like thinking that our image in a mirror is our authentic self. Spiritual thinking is a more straightforward way to reach God than just unquestioning belief or faith. Thus, Spiritual Thinking is a simple way beyond blind faith.

Spiritual Thinking is the ultimate way beyond Rituals.

Bhagwad Gita: Chapter 3: 17-19.
17
But that man who rejoices only in the Self is satisfied with the Self and is concerned in the Self – for him, there is no duty to perform.
18
For him, there is no concern here at all with acting, nor any concern with non-performance. Moreover, for him, there is no dependence on any object to serve any purpose.
19
Therefore, remaining unattached always performs the obligatory duty, for a person attains the Highest ( Salvation ) by performing one’s task without attachment.

Matthew 15:3
3 But he answered and asked them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Lord Krishna, in the Bhagwat Gita, emphasizes that each of us, as God’s creation, is bound by our duty, Karma, in our material life, whether it be family, attachment to material wealth, passion, etc. When we become detached from materiality and perform our Karma, we slowly become self-actualized and merge with the Self, the God inside us. A person who has attained this state is free of all materiality and sins and attains Salvation or Mukti. He has no karma to perform. Unfortunately, the material world thinks one must wear a saffron robe to achieve this state. They do not believe why Lord Krishna, who had gone past all the materiality, was not wearing a saffron robe. It is their ignorance that they associate. Self-actualization, which is more mental, has nothing to do with wearing a saffron robe. They can be easily deceived by a scoundrel wearing a saffron robe and milk their possessions. Self-renunciation is a mental state of realization of God inside us and has nothing to do with wearing a saffron robe. It is only a state where you attach more importance to God inside than material wealth for peace and happiness. It does not matter whether you live in a mansion or a small hut, in an urban city or a secluded forest, or wearing a saffron robe.

Spiritual Thinking, involving the synchronization of our human thoughts with the Divine Mind, God, inside us, helps us to progress to this state, and constant synchronization through meditation and prayers helps us to make this habitual and attain self-actualization. Attachment to this divine self causes us to detach ourselves from materiality, and we perceive everything spiritually. This is the goal of all of God’s creations and the purpose of our lives. When we comprehend our Divine Self, we will realize that we do not have to go in search of material needs. Just as Jesus Said, “Seek ye the kingdom of heaven, and all these things will be added unto you.” This renunciation of our attachment to material possessions is necessary, and we do not have to wear a saffron robe, as it is practiced, especially in Hinduism and Buddhism/; sadly, more significance is attached to symbolism in these cultures than the practice and understanding. I remember my younger days when we would offer all food to the Deity after our Poojas and pretend like the idols and deities ate what was offered. In practice, it is all eaten only by us, and this symbolism, along with providing incense, flowers, etc., is considered more important than the fundamental understanding of the presence of God inside each of us. Lord Krishna emphasizes in the third chapter of the Bhagwad Gita that the purpose of all the symbolic Karmas we perform is to reach a state of this renunciation or attachment to materiality. For those who have been able to do it, there is no karma to be completed, and they are free of any sins. The Vedas prescribe many rituals to develop self-discipline and focus and recommend a path to reach out to God inside.
Some examples of Rituals

Brahmin Performing Daily Ritual

Brahmin Ritual

Rituals in a group

The mantras themselves refer to the Brahman inside as OM, and since the Brahman cannot be seen, we worship in various forms as images or idols or deities that can be seen. Since these things can be seen with mortal eyes, it limits God’s omnipotence since we equate these images with human forms. Only good conceptual skills can enable us to visualize the Brahman, God inside us. However, as Jesus said, we are given a particular belief to suit our needs. This, however, may not be enough for our salvation or Moksha as the Vedas emphasize that only Gnana Yoga can lead us to Moksha or Salvation. Karma Yoga is a pathway to advance to Gnana yoga if practiced sincerely, as noted by Lord Krishna in Bhagwad Gita. Spiritual thinking, which constantly synchronizes our human thoughts with the Divine Mind, is the ultimate way beyond Rituals.

Spiritual Thinking is a simple out-of-body experience.

1Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20, you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

Revelation 4:1
After this, I looked, and a door in heaven was before me. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

John 4:24
God is spirit; his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and truth.

Baghwad Gita Chapter 4:19-20
19.
He who thus knows truly the divine birth and actions of Mine does not get rebirth after casting off the body. He attains Me, oh Arjuna.
20.
Many devoid of attachment, fear, and anger, who were absorbed in Me, had taken refuge in Me and were purified by the austerity of knowledge, have attained My state.

Frequently, when we think about out-of-body experiences, we assume it is some unique experience, such as a near-death experience.; In spiritual thinking, we focus on God, the divine Mind inside each of us, and synchronize our human thoughts with this Divine Mind. This produces only a pleasant experience because God is Love. When we are experiencing mental disharmony or discord, or physically ill or going through some pain, we know that these do not come from God. These are false manifestations of our material brain-derived human thoughts, and our objective is to transcend these falsities and experience the good. In other words, we see farther than the immediate body feelings. When you are sick, you can feel the fever and the discomfort associated with the fever. You know this is temporal, and you feel better when you are well. If you focus your thoughts even when you are not well and know that God is all in all and He is inside you, you will heal much faster. This concentrates not on your material feelings and discomfort from your body but on the Divine Mind inside, the out-of-body experience I am talking about. When spiritual thinking becomes habitual and second nature, you can always have this out-of-body experience, producing harmony, peace, prosperity, and happiness.

On a rainy, cloudy day, the clouds hide and mask the sun; our distractions from the material human body conceal the truth. This is especially true with social media disseminating misinformation, falsehoods, and lies. To know the truth, we must transcend all this information, focus on the Divine Mind, and synchronize our human thoughts with the Divine Mind. When we successfully do that, we can discern God’s thoughts, which always will provide harmony and peace. We will always experience discord and instability with material brain-derived human thoughts. No wonder people who spread lies and falsehoods are always unstable and disoriented. Just as we have to go above the clouds to see the bright sun on a rainy day, Spiritual Thinking enables us to ignore the body’s complaints and rise above all the discords of the body. That is the reason Spiritual Thinking is an out-of-body experience. We can enjoy this experience as often as we like with constant practice.

From birth until our last breath, a supreme power stays inside us, allowing us to breathe, making all the material organs work, and giving us the five senses to guide us. This power, called by various names such as God, brahman, Yahweh, Allah, Divine Mind, etc., is the engine of life. This Divine Mind can help us anytime we seek God’s help. The Divine Mind has all control over us, but we can only appeal to it through affirmations that God is all in all and is the Sole power for all cause and effect in this universe. He is present in us 24/7 by synchronizing our human thoughts with this Divine Mind. God passes on his thoughts to us. This synchronization becomes habitual through constant prayers and affirmations, and we enjoy Peace, Harmony, Prosperity, and Happiness. This is called Spiritual Thinking and is the backbone of peaceful bliss in our lives."
