Spiritual Thinking is a great way to know God.

Spiritual Thinking is a great way to know God.

When God created man in his image and likeness, he also allowed man to think for himself. God was fully aware that man, once he knew that he could think, would start believing in his own ways with the human brain that God gave and would develop an ego, pride, arrogance, enmity, hatred, jealousy, etc. God decided to stay inside each of us as the Divine Mind to propel the engine of life such as breathing, sensing to guide, etc., and be available to help with any situation if man wanted help. A way to seek help from God is to synchronize our thoughts derived from the human brain with the Divine Mind. The rule for being able to do that is to understand that God is all in all and is the cause and effect of every event in the universe and that he is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. This synchronization of our thoughts with the Divine Mind is called Spiritual Thinking, enabling us to enjoy peace, prosperity, and happiness all the time. In this process, we also get to know God as well.

Spiritual thinking is a simple way to cope with life’s setbacks.

Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
2 Chronicles 32:7
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.”
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Psalm 28:7
“The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song, I praise him.”
Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen, help, and uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Matthew 6:33
“But seek his kingdom and righteousness first, and all these things will also be given to you.”
Psalm 18:2
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
All of us have gone through setbacks in our lives. Life is like a long mountain with several peaks and valleys. Sometimes, we are at a cliff, and at other times, we are way down in a deep valley. When we are in a valley, we should not get discouraged, especially if we are trying to reach the top. I will give you an example of actually down in a valley when we were hiking. During my late teens, one summer during the break, I was visiting my Sister and Brother-in-law, who were at that time in a Himalayan Hilltown named Simla. This used to be the seat of Power when India was under British colonial Rule. The city is at an altitude of 7000 -8000 ft above sea level. It is calm and pleasant compared to New Delhi, which used to experience 120-130ºF, similar to Death Valley in California. There was a temple considered very auspicious across another peak that looked close across the valley, but it would have been about 10-15 miles if we had gone by road. So my brother-in-law and I decided to climb down the hill and then go up climbing to the other peak. That was a big mistake. There was no problem getting down about 2000 feet, but when we tried to climb up the steep hill, we would slide back two feet for every two or three feet we climbed. We had no mountain climbing equipment or ropes or anything except our hands to hold on to whatever we could. Fortunately, the Hill had a lot of deep-rooted plants that we could latch on to. We had started early at 6:00 AM, and by the time we reached the other peak, it was almost 2:00 PM. Luckily, there was a food stall near the temple, and we were so hungry that we could have eaten a Horse. Looking back, that was a stupid idea since there were buses that would have gotten us there in 30 minutes. But it did teach us a lesson in hope and persistence since that valley was not inhabited, and there would have been no help if we had gotten hurt there. Fortunately, both of us had read the Upanishads and were aware of the God, Divine Mind within, that enabled us to get back to normalcy. In my career, I was pushed so far down in the Valley that every time I would make some progress, the rug was pulled off many times. God, Divine Mind, has enabled me to keep floating under all circumstances. This reminds me of another analogy. A large piece of wood will keep flowing in water; no matter how much you try to push it down and hold it underwater, it bounces back to the surface no matter what. We can explain it in terms of density, and the opposite is true with a metal, say an iron rod, that will sink without even trying. Likewise, the knowledge of the God within us and by using Spiritual Thinking, by synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside each of us, God will give us the strength to hang on and keep floating during any setbacks in life until we are at a comfortable level. By practicing Spiritual Thinking, you can be like a wood piece during setbacks rather than a bit of steel.

Spiritual Thinking is the ultimate way to discern Life’s purpose.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know my plans for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 32:19
Nineteen great are your purposes, and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all humanity; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.
Job 42:2
2 “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
Proverbs 16:4
4 The LORD works out everything to its proper end— even the wicked for a day of disaster.
Proverbs 19:21
21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but the LORD’s purpose prevails.
Matthew 6:10
“Thy kingdom comes, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

God’s divine Mind created man in His image and likeness; however, He did not want each one to be the same, like cars coming out of an assembly line. He instilled specific individuality in each one. No two people have the same fingerprint or DNA. Why is that? He wanted everyone to be different, with different characteristics, talents, looks, aspirations, goals, etc. He is not a racist, either. That is why He created white, black, brown, and yellow people, just like He made flowers of different colors and fragrances. But when He made all these individuals, He also had a purpose for each life He created. Knowing our purpose in life is a difficult thing to perceive. A lot of us spend our whole life trying to find our goal. This happens because of an eternal conflict between the human ego and the Divine Mind:

Eternal Conflict of the human ego and the Divine Mind

The human ego and our thoughts are derived from the material human brain. Selfishness, a superiority complex, ignorance, lack of compassion or empathy, integrity or character, compassion for other God-created human beings, etc., drive them. This list can continue until we understand that God created each of us the way we are and that a purpose for how we are made resides 24/7 in each of us to guide us when we seek His help. It is for us to reach out to Him rather than vice versa. We can be as obnoxious as we want, like some of the political scoundrels amongst us, whose job they think is to lie and confuse us to get an unfair advantage over us. If we practice Spiritual Thinking by synchronizing our thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us all the time, we will be able to listen to what God has to say, and our purpose in life will also become apparent. On the other hand, if we are bullheaded and will do only what we like, we may also have to face the consequences of those actions, that is, accept responsibility. Let me take the story of Jonah from the Bible. Jonah was a prophet, and God had commissioned him to go to Nineveh, a very disobedient and sinful town, and preach there. Jonah was afraid he would get killed and should go in the opposite direction and escape. A storm ensued with huge waves, and the ship was about to sink. Jonah confessed to the captain that he disobeyed God and headed in the opposite direction, so the vessel had to endure the big storm. The captain immediately threw Jonah overboard, and the storm subsided. A big fish swallowed Jonah, and the fish miraculously vomited Jonah on nearby land. Jonah realized his mistake and returned to Nineveh and preached there. The moral of this story is that God’s will is always done. We have two choices. Either we accept God’s purpose or be forced to suffer and take.
In my own life, I had an excellent reputation in my career until I got an obnoxious boss who was so challenging to deal with because he was so paranoid that anyone who showed any genuine goodwill would think that they were scheming to destroy him. The more I tried to assure him, the more he would run away, constantly conspiring against me. I got so tired of dealing with this guy that I left the big corporation where I worked. The upper management locked me from going anywhere else and finally handed me over to the political hierarchy, who made my whole career miserable and meaningless with much racism thrown in. I faced all that because, from age ten, I had practiced Spiritual Thinking and was willing to do whatever I could to sustain my wife and daughters and let scoundrels fight against the Divine Mind inside me. Since they always lost, without knowing that they were pitched against God, they thought I was a great manipulator, and somehow, they would outsmart me. The sad part is they could not spend a minute to think why I would try to manipulate or play any games when I am the one who is suffering. That happens when you are blinded by ego, pride, or racism. These people never learned from Gandhi or Martin Luther King, Jr. I took retirement in India since the Social Security checks went much farther than in the US. Only when the Pandemic struck could I see my purpose; I recognized that it was a manifestation of falsity or unreality caused by excessive ungodly thinking spreading like wildfire in social media. All the lies and gossip were propagated as truths bound to cause the Maya effects. Whereas vaccines could mitigate it materially, the variations could outsmart any materialistic solutions and had to be dealt with at a spiritual level. I initially started a WhatsApp group to share spiritual thinking experiences. Still, I soon realized that most people thought spiritual thinking was about sharing pictures of various Gods( idols) or chanting some mantras without contemplating truths. So I started a Blogging website named SpiritualSupplementsforlife.com but soon changed it to another site called https://www.thinkspiritually.net/, the current website on which I am writing this post. Shortly after, the pandemic became insignificant. Although I built the traffic up reasonably fast, right from the day the Ukraine-Russia war started, the Pundits blocked my website for pundits to make money from it, or, by coincidence, the views per month dropped from several thousand to a few per day. Since the Divine Mind is in charge, l let it take its time to propagate the truth. But living on Social Security, I cannot please all the SEO vultures and the other website pundits who care only about milking money from any sucker they can. Fortunately, Kdp.amazon.com allowed me to publish my book “Think Spiritually- Spiritual Thinking for Life” at minimal cost, and I will spread the word at whatever pace God wants me to. The whole point is that God, the Divine Mind, has a purpose for each creation that will ultimately become obvious through Spiritual Thinking.

Spiritual Thinking is the simple gateway to feeling free.

Ephesians 3:12
12 In him, and through faith in him, we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
2 Corinthians 3:17
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Galatians 5:1
1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
1 Peter 2:16
16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
Isaiah 61:1
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
Luke 4:18
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,

In modern society, we all feel pressure to conform. As technology advances, we are all forced to keep up and not stay behind. This pressure builds stress and leads to illnesses and chronic diseases. In addition, our dependence on all the conveniences of modern society, like TV, Cars, Smart Phones, Virtual Reality, etc., makes us a slave to the technologies and believe in all the misinformation propagated through the media keeps us so focussed on illusions, we do not take time to see through them. If you go to a Doctor for some ailment, he will inform you of all your other problems and ask you to keep your appointments occasionally. When your TV breaks down, you feel depressed, and the repairman recommends a new TV. Likewise, a car mechanic will find fault with your car in every way he can, so he makes you pay. The lawyer takes advantage of your fears and will milk you for as much money as possible to protect you from imaginary lawsuits. When you feel overwhelmed, a scammer gets you on an online scam and empties your bank account. So it is so easy to get crazy and depressed with all these things that you feel choked on your neck. To add to all these, the tech companies have chat GPT and VR games you can play that make you forget what reality is all about. You are so caught up in all these experiences that you immerse yourself in a drinking binge and get knocked out to forget your worries. The modern economy, both local and global, depends on the growth of these lies so that they can boast six or seven percent each year, and no one cares about the damage being done. Most countries have a widening gap between the rich and the poor, making it challenging for the poor and middle classes. Everyone is caught up in a morass of vortex that they cannot escape.

Let us step back and take a moment to think if this is what our creator God, Infinite Mind, intended. Abso;lutely not! Divine Mind makes everything sound and average, so God created man in His image and likeness. Then what happened? Since God also allowed man to think independently and went a little too far. The man entirely ignored how he was created and led by his material brain and e; hehe; heated wandering, and rather than seek help from the Divine Mind within himself as he was supposed to, like a spoiled child, he started indulging himself with his human thoughts derived from his ego. The net result was much confusion, and like a boy lost in a jungle,e he did not know how to get out of these troubles. He thought drinking or doing drugs would free him and got himself deep into a sinking hole. God’s divine Mind is so forgiving that he constantly offers a helping hand, even at this stage. This hand is spiritual thinking. Spiritual thinking is when we synchronize our human thoughts derived from the human brain with the ever-present Divine Mind inside us. Since the Divine Mind is not in our control, we have to appeal to the Divine Mind by affirming that God is all in all and is the only creator of all and effect in this universe. When we meditate on this truth and pray for God’s help, the Divine Mind immediately starts passing on God’s thoughts to the human mind. Therefore, we need to make it habitual by constantly praying and meditating to enable proper reception of God’s thoughts. When we receive God’s thoughts habitually, we start feeling free from all the confusion and worldly lies we can see the truth. It eliminates all anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, and we feel free. That is the reason Spiritual Thinking is a simple gateway to feeling free.

Spiritual Thinking helps us discern the truth for free.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 3:5–6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And do not lean on your understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And he will make straight your paths.
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Romans 11:33–35
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
Proverbs 2:6
6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Lots of time, the truth is hidden, especially these days with lies and misinformation being spread through Social Media; it is hard to know what the truth is. It is like looking for the sun on a rainy, cloudy day. You understand that the Sun is there but is hidden behind the clouds. Likewise, truth is always there but is obscured by all the misinterpretations and lies that people propagate to help themselves. So, how do you discern the truth? The answer is looking beyond the veil curtain held by all the misleading information. Jesus said, “Having eyes see ye not, having ears hear ye not.” That is what he meant. That is, do not believe everything you see or hear. They may be deceptive. Likewise, you have to discern the truth by removing all the distractions from your consciousness before you can see clearly. That is what Spiritual Thinking does. By synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us, we get a clear picture of the truth, like you hop into a Plane and fly above the clouds to see the Sun. If you constantly practice Spiritual Thinking through affirmations and prayer, God’s divine Mind will quietly pass His thoughts on to us. This becomes habitual through constant practice, and you can see the truth without distractions. When this happens, you see everything clearly and are not confused by misleading thoughts or fear. You also feel confident and sure, and all the confusion and discord will be gone,

Spiritual Thinking is the simple Divine Wisdom Manifested.

Ecclesiastes 2:13
I thought, “Wisdom is better than foolishness, just as light is better than darkness.”
1 Corinthians 1:25
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and. and the weakness of God is more vital than man’s strength.
Ecclesiastes 2:26
God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness to the man who pleases him, but to the sinner, he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
James 3:17
But the wisdom from heaven is first pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
It takes much work to understand in this digital age dominated by social media. Truths are distorted, gossip so prevalent, everyone loves to spread misinformation, plagiarism so prevalent, and lies are spread without shame or hesitance. How can one keep being drawn into these and keep your focus on the truth? More importantly, how do we know the truth? This is where God, the Divine Mind, comes in. Right from the moment we are born, a superpowerside helps us breathe, develops our five senses, enables our material organs to work, and stays within us until we take our last breath before we die. This superpower, called by various names such as Divine Mind, Infinite Mind, Brahman, God, Allah, Yahwei, OM, etc., is this universe’s cause and effect and the engine of life. It constantly guides us quietly and is ready to help once we seek God’s help. In return, this humility is expected of us, not dwelling on our dwelling ego and pride and doing things on our own driven by our human mind. To seek God’s Divine Mind’s help. We need to affirm, understand, and remember that God is all in all, and we pray to Him and seek His help. He, the Divine Mind, will subtly but assuredly tell us the truth and what we must do to maintain peace and happiness. This is Divine Wisdom passed on to us. To reach this point, we have to synchronize our human thoughts with the Divine Mind inside us, and this synchronization is termed Spiritual Thinking. When this habit becomes second nature, we subconsciously seek God’s help and receive His directions, automatically exhibiting Divine Wisdom. This is discussed in an earlier post, Affirmations and prayer, essential components of Spiritual Thinking:

Affirmations and Prayer for Divine Mind Synchronization

When God created man, He also allowed man to think independently. However, when derived from the Divine Mind inside you, this thinking capacity benefits oneself and others. It is derived from a recognition of the God inside others as well. However, suppose our thoughts are derived from our human brain. In that case, it develops ego and pride, is selfish, and rage with all bad qualities such as envy, hatred, jealousy, a superiority complex, etc. We can see God and use His help only by eliminating our ego. This needs humility and a recognition that God is all in all. Jesus referred to this when he said,d and I quote, “By myself, I can do nothing, but by the power of Him who sent me, I can do anything.” When we humble ourselves before God, Divine Mind, immediately, He corrects our thoughts, and not only do we get superior Wisdom and solutions, but we also enjoy peace, harmony, and happiness. This is precisely what Spiritual Thinking does: synchronizing our human thoughts with the Divine Mind and opening up communication channels between the Divine Mind and the human mind. We get the benefit of God-derived ideas passed on in our thoughts and actions, demonstrating the superior Wisdom of God in action. We have everything to gain and nothing to lose. But we need the fear of God and humility to seek God’s help and recognize and accept it. This is easily attainable by constant practice of Spiritual Thinking.
