Spiritual Thinking is a great way to counter Annoyers.
Proverbs 12:16.
A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
Proverbs 29:11.
A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man controls himself.
Matthew 5:40.
And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.
Ecclesiastes 7:8-9.
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit,
Luke 6:27-28.
“But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Bhagwad Gita:
If your consciousness is absorbed in Me, others’ rudeness and wickedness cannot hurt you.
In life, we come across so many people who are inconsiderate of others. It will not bother most people if these annoyers do not hurt others. But they often make it a habit of constantly annoying other people. They find pleasure in belittling other people to make themselves look superior. Such insensitivity causes demotivation in many people in the workplace. This irritating behavior is a nuisance to society due to lost productivity, mental illnesses, and a disharmonious workplace. It is, therefore, essential for all of us to know how to deal with and neutralize the harmful effects of such behavior. Since a majority of us neither want to harm others nor be harmed, what will be the best way for us not to be bothered by annoyers?
God created us in His image and likeness. If everyone had maintained that image and likeness, human relations would have been peaceful, happy, and harmonious. However, since He gave man the capacity to think and develop his ego, many went astray, becoming selfish, arrogant, sadistic, and narcissistic. They feel pleasure in hurting others and feeling themselves superior to others. They do this at the cost of losing their own image and self-esteem. Let us see how this undesirable quality develops.
When children develop if they develop positive qualities by having supportive teachers and parents, they often do well in school, compete positively, and do well. However, some kids whose parents are somewhat condescending have bad habits themselves and put kids down on every little issue and do not look into the mirror themselves; the kids become undisciplined, speak whatever they want without any sensitivity to others, and treat others the same way as their parents treated them Further, they get jealous of other well-behaved kids and constantly annoy them with harsh words and possibly make them cry. When they find that they can make another kid cry, they think they have some power over them and develop it further, even as they become adults to annoy others constantly. This originates from self-sufficiency and getting pleasure out of annoying others. They do not realize that in the process, they feel low about themselves, and to compensate for that, they become even more irritating, very similar to being an alcoholic.
Spiritual thinking, by synchronization of our human thoughts with the ever-present Divine Mind, God inside us through meditation, reflection, and prayer, enables us to listen to God’s voice on every issue, makes us feel happy about ourselves, and takes away the urge to hurt others and God puts nice words in our mouth respecting others, as Jesus says.” Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Just remembering these words from Jesus alone will correct our behavior towards others and make us pleasant to deal with. When I get angry, I remind myself of these words, and most often, my anger vanishes away faster than it came in. Since the Only same God is inside all of us, by spiritual thinking, we all can communicate in the same spiritual language, though our spoken languages may be different. This is something to remember when dealing with a person of a different language because spiritual thoughts are universal. Spiritual Thinking is a great way to counter annoyers.
