Spiritual Thinking is a beautiful way to avoid Self-pity.

Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

James 5:13

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Life is like a spinning wheel. Sometimes we are at the top. At other times we hit bottom. When we are on top, we rejoice, but when we are down, we feel like blaming ourselves or everyone else around us. Either way, it does not give us peace. When we start comparing with others and start thinking, “ why should this happen to me,” This kind of Thinking becomes very unproductive and leads to behaviour that does not contribute to improving the situation. It is good to think of the spinning wheel and remember that you will also go to the top. The bottom again goes to the top. Likewise, we can move on and bounce back by concentrating on the positive. Even though the pandemic has chewed away two precious years, God will bring better days, and things will get normal again.

Though an unnecessary war in Ukraine is going on, the people will bounce back and flourish in a democracy. They are still holding on because they are choosing freedom over repression. In our lives, when mishaps and tragedies happen, there is one constant factor that is permanent and represents only good. That permanent presence is the God, Brahman, Divine Mind present 24/7 in each of us and wants only all Good for us. When we concentrate on this one permanent reality, we would suddenly feel better. This recognition of one reality opens the communication between our human mind and the Divine Mind, and as good vibrations from the Divine mind grow, we get lots of ideas to work on. You may feel more comfortable with some, and all you need will be the courage to put your trust in God and pursue them.

I plan to share my thoughts and insights with others, especially after the pandemic starts. Since I had no idea about how to start a blog, and at my age, I was not looking to make quick money. I am ok with my little pension and Social Security, so I created a group on Whatsapp and started writing a lot of thoughts twice a weekly basis. Even if one person was reading what I had to say, I figured that was better than none. Then I got the courage to read up on starting a blog and started sharing on the web. As soon as I started, I was flooded by all the SEO pundits about optimizing for SEO. So, I figured if more people read it, more might benefit. The game that the system has been playing with me for 35 years started again. They do not know that I am doing this on the Divine Mind’s advice, and as usual, I was not going to play their game. I became self-actualized a long time ago, and at this age, I am waiting to unite with the spirit when my time comes, especially after my wife and daughter passed away a few years ago. If I enjoy anything at present, it is spending time with my five cats. This activity is also becoming difficult physically. Because I am on a mission to keep my memory of my wife and daughter, I will continue writing, even if I have an audience of one. Whatever I spend to maintain the blog, I consider it a Tithing of sort on God’s advice. So you can see that Spiritual Thinking is a beautiful way to avoid self-pity.

From birth until our last breath, a supreme power stays inside us, allowing us to breathe, making all the material organs work, and giving us the five senses to guide us. This power, called by various names such as God, brahman, Yahweh, Allah, Divine Mind, etc., is the engine of life. This Divine Mind can help us anytime we seek God’s help. The Divine Mind has all control over us, but we can only appeal to it through affirmations that God is all in all and is the Sole power for all cause and effect in this universe. He is present in us 24/7 by synchronizing our human thoughts with this Divine Mind. God passes on his thoughts to us. This synchronization becomes habitual through constant prayers and affirmations, and we enjoy Peace, Harmony, Prosperity, and Happiness. This is called Spiritual Thinking and is the backbone of peaceful bliss in our lives."
