Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a God?
Yes. If you see everything around you can see an orderliness. All the various species reproduce with perfection without commingling. That shows that there is a supreme power precisely controlling everything. Even our human life is driven by this supreme power from conception to birth to death. The body starts decaying, though all the organs are there, once the supreme power leaves the body. We call this supreme power God. He is the cause and effect of everything in this universe.

Are there synonyms for God?
Yes! He is called by various names by different people. Some of these are Yahvey, Brahman, Allah, Divine Mind, Infinite Mind, etc.

Is He present in each one of us?
Yes!. He is present as a whole in each of us. Though He is an all-powerful one, He can be present as a whole in each living being.

If He is One, how can He be present in Billions of beings as a whole?
Since it is conceptual, I will explain it by analogy. In mathematics, the term infinity by the symbol ∞ is used to describe a very large number that cannot be described. Infinity divided by, multiplied by, subtracted by or added by any number, no matter how large, it is still infinity. God, likewise divided by many beings, is still God, Infinite Mind. He can be described as Omnipresent ( present everywhere), Omnipotent ( all-powerful), and Omniscient ( Knows everything )

Is God a male or female?

Even though we call God He, he has no gender and can be described as He or She.

Does God have a shape or form?

No!. As we ascribe a shape or form, we cannot understand His magnanimity. We start thinking of Him in human terms and hence limit our understanding of His powers. People who cannot conceptualize, like to think of a form or shape to worship him. That is a limitation.

If there is a God, why are there poor people?

God did not create poor people. It is the society with its policies that have created an uneven distribution of wealth. God does not discriminate between the rich and the poor. He provides equal opportunities for everyone. If the poor understand God and his level once, they can also become wealthy. The material wealth can disappear as easily as it was acquired because it is material and temporal. Real wealth is knowing God.

What is the difference between human and Divine Minds?

The human mind is controlled by the material organ Brain and functions essentially catering to the human ego. Divine Mind is God, who is ever-present and helping each one of us all the time. We can train the human mind to synchronize with the Divine Mind through affirmations, prayer, and knowing God is all in all. When we do this by practice, the hydra-head, the human ego is kept under check and good things start to happen. We also bless others this way.

Is man created selfishly?

No ! man is created in the image of God; however, he becomes selfish and egoistic by acquiring all the undesirable qualities. Spiritual thinking tries to get a man to try to think and behave like God.

How do we hear God?
As we silence all our senses and human thoughts and focus on God as the only reality, He passes on his thoughts and directions to the human mind. When we are ready we will be able to catch them and use them. This will become intuitive as we grow spiritually.
